Day Hike - Mount Erie via Sugarloaf

Hike to the views from Sugarloaf, then loop around the south side of Mt Erie through the Anacortes Community Forest Lands.

  • High Point Elevation: 980 ft
  • Maximum Wind: 20 kts
  • Pace: 1.5 to 2 mph

Meet at Heart Lake parking lot at 10am. Carpooling opportunities from the Greenlake/NE 65th P&R in Seattle or Ash Way P&R just north of Lynnwood.

A correction to the template, we won't be hiking to the top of Mt Erie, you can drive there afterwards if you wish. I think the views are better at the top of Sugarloaf.

There are a few steep sections where poles would be appreciated. We may hike the loop clockwise to leave the major elevation gain and views to the latter third of the route.
