Tacoma area participants can meet at the Narrows Park and Ride (7201 Sixth Ave) at 7:20 am to carpool.  We will depart from the park and ride at 7:30  am.

We will meet up with everyone in Hoodsport at the Waterfront Park at 9 am and carpool to the upper trailhead.

The best part about this hike is the outhouse at the trail head or it could be the views of Baker, Rainier, Adams,  St. Helens and Mt. Hood.  The trail is steep but well maintained.  Sturdy hiking shoes and poles  will help immensely.  The last part  of the trail is through rocks and gravelly meadows.  Once we reach the summit there are views of Lake  Cushman, Hood Canal and Puget Sound.
