6/21 -- This was originally Granite, but since the AHH Defiance Hike scheduled for 6/23 was changed to Granite, we're changing to Defiance. If the USFS road is still closed next week, we may change back to Granite, so I am leaving the Granite notes in here below... There is likely to still be snow at the top of Granite Mtn when we do this hike. We'll hike up as far as we can. PLease bring micro-spikes and Yak Traks for the snow. It is likely that we will not make it to the top of Granite, if it gets too late...... Leader Notes: AHH - We'll meet at the stop sign just as you turn onto the frontage road heading to the Tiger Mtn. parking lot on the south side of Exit 20. Club house will not be arranging carpools. We will be leaving promptly at 4:15 pm. Bring a headlamp or good flashlight and extra batteries as there is a good chance we will return to the cars after dark. Leaders: Chris Caviezel and Monty Pratt.
