This trip will be a Naturalist Lite hike, meaning that it is primarily a hike with a few stops to locate a relatively short list of species that will add about 30 minutes cumulatively to the trip. No Naturalist experience is necessary, just have an open mind and be willing to learn! Focus on Flowers. I will provide a list of species we will attempt to find throughout the course of the hike which will include some more interesting species like candystick, honeysuckle, calypso orchid and white indian paintbrush. This is not an easy hike. It has some sections that are very steep. We will take it slow through the steep parts which happen to be adorned with flowers we can identify. Trekking poles are helpful to descend this trail. The trail has many unmarked junctions so the group will need to stay together. Prefer email for questions.
