8:30 AM at Mima Mounds State Park
This is a Study Group trip only. We are being invited into an area that has not been open to the public for a while. Ms Davenport has promised that this will be a very special outing and encourages us to bring binoculars and field guides. A Naturalists heaven!!!

Birdie will lead us in caravan about 30 miles from Mima Mounds to the SE corner of Thurston County. The road will generally be paved until the last part. The last spur road is not ideal for a sedan, but no problem for an SUV. The trail is only about a mile but is unimproved and has some steep sections. We will travel at a very leisurely pace stopping frequently to look at the various plants and ecology.

Bring a lunch and enough clothing to deal with the weather. Don't forget your field guides and binoculars!
