The 11/3 trip was such a success I want to lead this again! Be prepared for a very wet trail - shorty gaiters and poles recommended, especially for the stream crossing. Microspikes are also a good idea in case we get frosty or snowy conditions.
Leader is a birder and photographer so expect a few short sensory pauses especially along the river. We'll do this in 3-mile stints with bio/snack/stretch breaks every 75-90 minutes. The goal is to keep everyone moving so nobody gets cold. Keep your summer conditioning sharp so you don't have as hard a time rebuilding come spring!
Meet at the trailhead at 7:15 AM (bring a headlamp) booted and ready for intros and stretches so we can walk at 7:30 AM. Carpool information will follow in Hello Hiker. "Challenging" is due to distance not pace. Trail is very gentle grade and we'll keep a conversational pace.
