We will meet at Issaquah Tibbetts Valley Skatepark, 1600 Newport Way NW, Issaquah at 9 a.m. and leave by 9:15. Drivers will need a Northwest Forest or America the Beautiful National Park pass. (I believe the road is now in good condition, but I will check.)

This hike is essentially flat, but we will be going 10 miles, so please be sure you can complete the distance comfortably. We will stop for beauty breaks along the way. If it is sprinkling, the hike is on. If it’s going to be steady rain, I will reschedule or relocate the  hike. Here’s the hike description:

The most popular day hikes starts at the Middle Fork Trailhead. Cross the bridge over the river and follow the trail along river, through the woods, past the 2,000-foot tall, granite Stegosaurus Butte, along an old railroad bed and back down to the river's edge.  It's 6 miles round trip and 200 feet of elevation gain.

Extend Your Trip: Continue 2 miles more reach a spectacular bridge and creek with a stunning view of Cripple Creek Falls. It's 10 miles round trip and 300 feet elevation gain.
