Day Hike - Melakwa Lake

2 miles up Denny Creek to Mineral Gulch to explore the skarn geology at the edge of the Snoqualmie Batholith. We will not be going to Melakwa Lake

We will meet at the 65th Street Park & Ride at 8 am.  We will meet on the north side of 65th Street & at the far north end of the parking lot.  

This is a fairly easy 4 mile hike but with some scrambling over large boulders.  We will walk 1.5 miles to the Sliding Rocks & then scramble over large boulders to see how far up Mineral Gulch we can go.  We may hike another half mile to Snowshoe Falls.  We will primarily be looking at some interesting geology
