I would like for us to be back to the cars no later than 6:00 PM. We'll set a turnaround time of 1:30 PM. Goal is to make it to Marmot Pass and if the pace is good and time allows we'll go for Buckhorn. I can't guarantee we will summit, but we will at least try if conditions are good, the group is strong and time permits.
I've never done this hike before so please have patience and a sense of adventure. It is one I have been wanting to do for many years and I'm really looking forward to going. I will provide a map to download/print and a more detailed email to trip participants.
This is going to be a very long day. You will wake up early. You will get home late. You will need to pack more food and water than you think you need. I cannot make any estimate or promise as to what time we'll be back home, so if you have evening plans you might want to consider a different hike.
