Margaret's Way

Day Hike - Margaret's Way to Debbie's View

This will be a conditioning hike at 2.5 mph up and towards the Debbie's View viewpoint but instead we will visit the Bullitt fireplace where we take the snack (and if group wishes via West Peak to the Debbie's View Point) and return.

This  is a rain or shine Monday morning conditioning hike and will go from the Margaret's Way trailhead to the Bullitt fireplace and then return; if the weather is great and clear and the group has the energy, adding a short side trip via West Peak and Debbie's View is possible.    We will go up at 2.5 mph aand down at 3 mph.  The trail goes up immediately from the trail head and then levels out, goes down slightly and then it is up again until the crossing with the Chybinski Loop and then it levels out to the Bullitt fire place where we will eat a snack and return.

The plan is to leave at 8:30 a.m. from the trailhead at the small building near the porta potties and should be back around noon or before 1 p.m. if the group decides to add the side option to Debbie's View.

We will hike as a group and wear masks when not 6 ft apart.    This is not a beginning hike and works best if you have had similar hikes completed this year.   There is also a 2 mph Margaret's Way hike posted in February.

You can find some interesting info about the fireplace on the WTA app (Bullitt fireplace trail).
