  • Mileage: 7.5 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,650 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 1,700 ft

Parking is limited at the trailhead, so we will have both a Seattle Green Lake P&R and an Issaquah Tibbets Valley Park meet up location, planning to all meet up at the Trailhead parking lot by 9:00 am. Meeting times and places will be detailed in a Hello Hiker email by Wednesday, 2/26/20, along with links to directions. I will also send links/pdfs of maps, as it is part of the King County Parks system. The hike is also on Green Trails map 203S, Cougar Mountain, Squak Mountain.

The trail had muddy and wet spots when I hiked it at the end of January and again on Feb. 11, so poles and gaiters are highly recommended.  Bring a snack/lunch to eat at the viewpoint, where we hope to enjoy a lovely view of Mount Rainier.  After the hike, please plan to head with us to Masa Mexican Kitchen in Gilman Village for a snack/meal/beverage.
