Meet at 9:30 AM at the Cougar-Squak Corridor parking lot on the Renton-Issaquah Road, reached from Exit 5 eastbound from I-405 or Exit 15 southbound from I-90.  It is just south of the Jim Whittaker Wilderness Creek parking lot and on the opposite side of the road.

This is one of the newer hikes on Squak Mountain, starting out through a former private camping club property that was acquired by King County when the former owner planned to sell it to a logging company.  No parking pass is required.  There is a portapotty at the trailhead parking lot, but no restroom facility on the hiking route.
