7:00 AM at Ash Way P&R; in Lynnwood
This hike is known for its displays of flowers and its views of the North Cascades. It is a 7 mile loop trip along ridges and meadows through several alpine passes, plus an additional 1 mile RT side trip to Lake Ann. We may also do a similar side trip to Rainy Lake. The flowers should be near their peak with the warm weather we have been having recently! We will go at slow to moderate stay together pace, and stop frequently to enjoy the flowers and sights along the way. Bring your camera for sure, and also hiking poles if you would like to use them on the decent portion of the loop as it is steeper than the ascent. Meet a 7:00 AM at the Ash Way P&R; in Lynnwood just north of the I-5/I-405 interchange. Take exit 183 off I-5, go west on 164th Street. Ash Way is the first street west of the interstate. Make a right on Ash Way, going north. The entrance to the P&R; is on the right. We will meet in south portion of the lot. E-mail or call if any questions. Cell, 253-797-4895. Looking forward to hiking with you!
