Come out with the Under the Hill Rovers for a winter hike and cook-out on the east side of the mountains! The dry side of the Cascades offers a better chance for blue skies and sunshine. Nevertheless, the exact location of the trip will be somewhat weather dependent. We will aim for a summit-type location with views where we can have a little lunch-time cook-out with hot drinks and snacks. We are planning on going to Manastash Ridge by Ellensburg which has views of Kittitas Valley and the Cascade Range, including Mt. Stuart. It's a great place to see birds and even deer and elk (you might want to bring binoculars!). Bring a drinking mug and food and a beverage to share. Driving time from Seattle is 2 hours. Meeting time is 7 am at the 65th St P&R.; East side folk will be meet at 7:20 At the Issaquah P&R.; More details to come as the date nears. Leaders: Sabrina Oesterle (soesterle@gmail.com) and Ken Hahn (kenhahn2004@yahoo.com).
