Day Hike - Lena Lake
This is a pleasant, easy hike on a good trail through a forest canopy to a scenic lake created by a geologic upheaval 1,300 years ago, where we will eat lunch at a prominent viewpoint overlooking the lake, returning by the same route.

Meet at 10 AM at the trailhead parking area on the paved Hamma Hamma River Road, which forks west from US 101 north of Eldon on the west side of Hood Canal. A Northwest Forest Pass, or the equivalent, must be displayed by each car parked at the trailhead.
This is a popular easy hike that makes a good early season conditioner. Some years ago the trail was rerouted to make the grade more gradual, which has made this a good hike for socializing. There are restrooms at the trailhead and near the lunch spot. On the drive home there will be an optional stop for ice cream in Hoodsport at the Hoodsport Coffee Company. Public restrooms are located nearby in Hoodsport.
