Plan to leave Olympia around 7:30 a.m. Specifics will be sent to registered participants a few days prior to the hike.
We plan to work at a pace to improve our overall conditioning as hikers (not scramblers or climbers). However, this is spring with wildflowers and other suprises so we will stop for pictures.
Be prepared for all types of weather; bring the Ten Essentials, and avoid wearing cotton. The trail could be wet/muddy. Pack plenty of water, snacks, and lunch. We will plan to lunch at Lower Lena Lake. A stop in Hoodsport for ice cream is probable.
