Day Hike - Lena Lake

  • Easy/Moderate
  • For Beginners (Getting Started Series)
  • Mileage: 6.2 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,300 ft

This hike is a good one for those of us who are not speed demons. The pace will be moderate.

Meet up at 7:30 a.m. for carpooling from Olympia at the parking lot of Haggen grocery at the corner of Cooper Point Rd. and Black Lake Blvd., over by the trees on the south (?) side. We expect to arrive at the Lena Lake trailhead around 8:45 a.m. Let the leader know if you are going directly to the trailhead!

The road to the trailhead is paved. Drive about 13.7 miles north from Hoodsport on US 101; turn left at the Hamma Hamma river road (milepost 318). Continue 7.5 miles to the Lena Lakes trailhead. Privy available.
