A nice level trail for an easy stroll along the 2.5 miles up to Bark Shanty. The newly constructed, and very sturdy bridges are magnificent. Beyond Bark Shanty the trail narrows and there are a few blow downs to negotiate. We may encounter snow near Camp Jolley at the end of the trail, but it should be no more than a few inches. Please bring micro spikes, or yak tracks, and hiking poles if you have them, just in case. If you are coming across the Sound from the Seattle side, and want to walk on the Edmonds/Kingston ferry, I can meet you at the Kingston Ferry when you land, and can take up to 3 riders. Contact me in advance to make arrangements. Otherwise, meet me, and the rest of the group at the Church of the Nazarene in Poulsbo, and we'll car pool to the trailhead.
