Day Hike - Lower Big Quilcene
This hike is being posted as a replacement/rescheduled location for a hike at Staircase that was to be on February 14. Staircase area is still inaccessible so location is being changed to Lower Big Quilcene. The roster for Staircase was full with a waitlist and those hikers will be given priority for this trip.

Meeting location and time to be sent to registered participants a few days prior to the hike. Meeting location is expected to be at the Quilcene Ranger Station along 101.
Be prepared for some ice/snow on the trail and bring traction devices and hiking poles. Recent Trip Reports indicate we can get to Bark Shanty Camp at 2.5 miles in. We will continue from there as long as trail conditions allow for safe travel. The furthest we will go is to Camp Jolly at 5 miles in. Pack a lunch along with the Ten Essentials.
