Day Hike - Lower Big Quilcene

A mellow and scenic 5.5 mile round trip day hike. We'll hike to Bark Shanty camp, 2.7 miles in, and then return to the trailhead.

We will meet up in the parking lot of the Hood Canal Ranger District- Quilcene office ranger station at 10:00 am. The ranger station is right off of Highway 101, just South of the town of Quilscene. The address of the ranger station is

We'll aim to leave the ranger station parking lot at 10:20 am, and drive to the trailhead together. The trailhead is about 6 miles from the ranger station. We'll aim to be geared up and hiking at 10:45! 

 

 

Parking pass/entry fee required: Northwest Forest Pass.

Cost: $5 day pass, $30 annual pass.
