  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,460 ft
  • Pace: 2.5mph

The Lost Valley Loop is closed due to logging. Therefore, from the same trailhead, our group will travel the Greenline to Wedekind Loop instead. It is a wooded hike on a well-maintained trail in Capitol Forest.  Similar distance and elevation gain; 9.3 miles and 1459 ft elevation gain. The first 3-4 miles we will climb 1350 ft, then we will cruise the remaining 5-6 miles on a windy downhill trail.  Only at the end will we climb the remaining 100 ft. This is a good trail to carry extra weight for backpack training if you so choose.
