Day Hike - Little Si

Explore a scenic forested canyon and observe climbers on a vertical rock wall, enroute on a switchbacked trail to our lunch spot, a rocky hilltop with a panoramic view of Mt. Si and the Snoqualmie Valley. We return by the same route.

Meet at 10 AM at the trailhead parking lot by the restroom, reached by taking Exit 32 from I-90, turning left (north) at the end of the exit, left at North Bend Way and then right onto Mt. Si Road.  After crossing the Snoqualmie River, turn left into the second parking lot.  If it is full, backtrack to the first parking lot, which has a trail connecting it to the second parking lot.  Each car parked there must display a Discover Pass.

The trail begins with a steep switchbacked rise for a quarter mile.  We'll take a rest break for a clothing adjustment at the top of that rise.  For the next mile the trail is mostly level, and then begins switchbacking up to the top of the pinnacle, our lunch spot.  The route is under a forest canopy until we reach the summit, where it opens up to give us a nice view during lunch.
