  • Very Strenuous, Technical 1
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,400 ft
  • Pace: 1,000 ft/hr

Oly group will meet at 6:30am at the Martin Way Park and Ride. Whole group will meet at the TH by 8:15.

This is an excellent chance to test yourself for your summer climbs, through hikes, backpacks, etc...

We will start up Little Si for 5mi RT and 1200ft elevation gain, then catch the Mt. Si Old Trail on the way back for another 7mi and 3300ft. Prepare for a long day in the rain!

We'll keep a reasonable pace (1,000ft/hr) and no one will get left behind. The key is to develop fitness, enjoy a day outdoors and have fun! Faster hikers or those training for big climbs can load up with pack weight.

Microspikes will likely still be essential for the last 1000 ft to the top, plus trekking poles.

Olympia hikers, scrambling and climbing students get priority until April 1, so if you don't resemble that description, please don't request permission until April 1. The Oly group will stop on the way home to replenish lost calories.
