Meet 11am at the Little Si trailhead.  The trailhead is at the 2nd parking lot after the bridge on Mt. Si Road. The two parking lots are very close together.  There is a restroom by the trailhead in the main parking lot -- we are meeting here.  If this main (2nd as you drive in) parking lot is full, drive back to the first parking lot (the overflow lot) and walk from there to the trailhead parking lot on a connecting trail/pathway.  The Mt. Si Road is reached by exiting I-90 at 436th Ave SE (exit 32), turning left (north) at the end of the exit, continuing to the T junction, where you turn left (west) and then turn right (north) in a short distance onto the Mt. Si Road.  A Discover Pass must be displayed by each car parked at the trailhead. Please be on-time.

This is a very popular hike that is shorter in distance and has nice views at the top.  For newer hikers, it is a great hike to build fitness for bigger adventures. The trail begins with a steep rise, then runs mostly level for a mile or so through scenic forest and then rises steeply again while switchbacking up the pinnacle with its spectacular views. The pace will be conversation-friendly and casual-paced to accommodate the slowest hiker; however, each hiker should have a basic level of fitness to get up the steeper sections. Bring a snack or sandwich to eat out on the rock "patio" at the top while we take a short break before heading back down. A camera might be nice have. Trekking poles are highly encouraged. If there could be even a trace of snow, please bring microspikes. A group email will be sent out after registration closes for those wanting to organize carpooling.
