Shuksan Lake. (S) (USGS Mount Shuksan) 4 mi., 1,700’ gain in, 900' gain out. Meet 9:30am at Sedro-Woolley Forest Service Office. This hike is at the north end of Baker Lake (2.5 hours from Seattle). Gorgeous meadows, beautiful lakes, and amazing views on this little used trail. Although short, the trail is exceedingly steep. This hike requires a sense of adventure and good fitness, but speed is not required. See the UTHRS Yahoo Groups for more details. Trailhead parking requires Northwest Forest Pass.
