The top of the trail may have snow. Bring poles. Streams will be high. Waterproof boots are essential. We may also take the short side trail to the middle viewpoint of Bridal Veil falls. TRAIL PARK PERMIT REQUIRED (NW FOREST PASS) Lake Serene sits in a bowl below the cliffs and peaks of Mt. Index. Bridal Veil Falls drops over a 1000 ft. from the lake to the Skykomish river below. We will see lake, falls, mountain and some classic big tree forest. Early summer flowers. Upper part of trail is steep with steps.
