Day Hike - Lake Serene

Side trips for this hike include Bridal Veil Falls and two abandoned mine sites along the way. Slow to moderate pace. 1,920 ft elevation gain. The trail heads up thickly forested slopes to a secluded lake.

Meet at 7am at Eastmont park & ride off exit 189 of I-5 to form carpools. We'll also stop at Monroe park & ride on Hiway 2 at 7:30. 

Possibility of getting wet near falls and mines so bring raingear and warm non-cotton layers, sturdy footwear, your 10 essentials and lunch. This will not be a fast paced hike.  There will be stops for photo ops and taking our time on the uphill sections. If you prefer a speedy hike this may not be for you. A Northwest Forest Service Pass must be displayed by cars at the trailhead. Riders should bring cash to help with costs of driving.
Plan on a post hike stop in Monroe for food and drink before returning home.
