Goal is to try to hike to all the lakes and from Lillian Lake (the last and highest) hike then up to the ridge to look down on Rampart Lakes and surrounding area.  This is a straight forward hike in the summer.  We will, though, have challenges in the fall:  likely some or alot of water, mud and/or snow on the trail; possible trouble locating the trail if there is much snow; possible traction issues if deeper snow or snow turned to ice is on the trail; general issues of staying warm and/or dry.  I'll be bringing both my Gaia and Garmen GPS systems to stay "on trail"--we won't get lost.  We will only go to the first few lakes if the high-county lakes are too difficult or dangerous to reach. Beyond the usual 10 essentials: two trekking poles, microspikes or equivalent, gaiters, sun glasses, warm hat, gloves and extra warm clothes/layers are required.  Leader Permission Is Required.  Please let me know when replying that you are in condition for this trip (i.e. what have you already done this past season), that you have or will have the above required equipment and that you are comfortable hiking in the snow and comfortable with not knowing extactly where the trail might be if its snow covered.  This trip is weather dependent.  The trailhead needs to be car accessible (most or all snow free) and the trail mostly clear and findable at atleast the lower portions.  If conditions prove adverse, leader may substitute another trip.
