8:00 AM at 65th Street Park n Ride
Lets see if we can walk around this beautiful Alpine Lake. We will then get up close to the waterfalls coming off the mountain face. We should be able to walk on the hard snow pack. We will lunch were the views are best or on the boardwalk. Bring trecking poles for balance if you have them. Call leader if you want to meet at Verlot Ranger station at 9:30 instead of at the park n ride. Early Saturday is supposed to be nice. Get out there. Directions: To get to the Park n Ride from the south, take I-5 North toward Everett. Get off at exit 170, and turn left at the stop sign at the end of the ramp. You will be heading North to the P&R;’s which are under I-5. Park at the South end of the North lot. It’s across from a coffee shop and Shell gas station. I have a blue Chevy S-10 pickup truck with a blue cap on the back. Time from downtown Seattle would be about 10 minutes or less. From the North, take I-5 and exit at 171. Bear left, cross over I-5 and turn right the first chance you get to proceed down below I-5 to the lot on your right.
