Sign up for this hike is limited to Basic Wilderness 2013 hikers only. Lake 22 is in a basin at the base of Mount Pilchuck's sheer northern face. Please bring the 10 Essential System, do not wear cotton clothing, and have appropriate footwear, i.e. no tennis shoes, trail runners, or FiveFingers®. A Northwest Forest Pass or National Forest Recreation Day Pass is required to park at the trailhead. The pace for this hike will be ~2mph.
