6:15 PM at Mountaineers Clubhouse
Kerry Park offers the quintessential Seattle photo opportunity. Or is it a cliché’? Who cares! When the sun sets and a purple-blue twilight surrounds the downtown skyline, the Space Needle, and the Seattle Center, you’ll want your camera and tripod ready for some gorgeous shots. The sun officially sets at 8:48. We’ll arrive about 7:00, to hopefully shoot with golden light over Elliott Bay, the Waterfront, West Seattle, Downtown, Space Needle, Seattle Center, and maybe Mt Rainier in the distance. Bring wide angle and long lenses, tripod, and remote/release switch for long exposures. Those interested may want to shoot more night shots from the Seattle Center grounds. Meet at Sandpoint Mountaineers Building parking area along Sandpoint Way at 6:15. We’ll depart promptly at 6:30. It’s about a 30 minute drive to Kerry Park. Or you can meet the group there at 7:00 pm. For directions use the Seattle.gov website: http://web1.seattle.gov/mnm/?x=-122.359874&y;=47.629023
