Day Hike - Kachess Ridge

Hike the Kachess Ridge trail 2.2 miles to the intersection with the Kachess Beacon Trail. Continue straight and up along silver creek to the base of French Cabin West Peak. This is a scenic Fall color moderate hike with views in the upper basin .

This hike will have two carpool meeting sites. The Green Lake Park and Ride hikers will meet there at 6:15 am with departure to the Preston Park and Ride at 6:30 am . The Preston Park and Ride hikers will arrive at 6:45 am  and depart at 7:00 am  after the Green Lake Park and Ride group arrives. Others  may  want to share rides from other locations or go directly to the trail head. We travel to Exit 70 , Lake Easton State  Park . At the end of the ramp turn left over the freeway . At the 'T' go left on the Kachess Dam road for one half mile , then right to stay on Kachess Dam Road (FR 4818 ), then another .8 mile to an unmarked road on the right , then another .6 mile to the trail head. We need to plan arrival at the trail head by 8: 15 am.
