Day Hike - Palouse to Cascades Trail

Join the Singles Activities Committee on a day hike on the John Wayne Pioneer Trail to Twin Falls. Enjoy panoramic views of mountains and waterfalls hiking on the former roadbed of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad.

Meet at 9 am at Iron Horse State Park.

Take I-90 east. Take Exit 32, then right on 436th Ave., which becomes Cedar Falls Road Southeast. Pass the Rattlesnake Lake parking area, coming to the entrance and parking area for Iron Horse State Park, 3 miles from Exit 32. The entrance will be on your left. There is a privy at the trailhead.




A Discover Pass is required at the trailhead.  Car pooling is encouraged.   This will be a loop hike on a well-maintained crushed gravel surface to Twin Falls where we will break for lunch.  

After the hike there will be an optional stop for refreshments at the historic Twede's Restaurant in North Bend.

The leader will include detailed information on trail conditions to participants in the pre-hike email.
