This is a steep trail with wonderful flora. Featured in "Best Wildflower Hikes Washington" by Kruckeberg and Spring. Good views on the way up and a great 360 degree view at top. Mt. Stuart, Rainier all of Alpine Lakes peaks. Top part of trail is rougher. Bring lots of water, poles helpful.. The snow is now gone, it may be very warm. Our early start will keep us cooler on the uphill climb.
