Day Hike - Iron Peak

This is a changed route - originally posted as Tatoosh Peak, now going east of the crest for better weather. This will be a mentored hike for Shauna McDaniel. Updated details have been sent to participants

6:30 am, Issaquah

This is a strenuous hike of 11 miles round trip with 3500 ft of elevation gain, as we are planning to go beyond the saddle on the shoulder of Iron Peak. We will average 1.5 mph and 1000 ft of elevation gain per hour while hiking uphill. Please be sure you are in strong hiking condition before signing up. 

 

Hiking boots, plenty of water (there is none on the route) and the 10 essentials, including a headlamp, are required.
