8:00 AM at Tibbetts Park n Ride

Lets see if we can get to this beatiful snow ringed lake. We'll be some of the first Mountaineers to head that way this year. The road was washed out. Much of the South facing trail is likely to be melted clear, but snow still exists to be dealt with and enjoyed. If snow bothers you, wait another month. Hiking poles required. Cleats for your boots would be good if you have them. This will kind of be an exploratory hike, but we will try hard to make it to the lake. It will definitely be worth the effort. NW Forest Parking permit required per car. Get it in advance. We will try to carpool more from the Tibbets parking lot, which is south of I-90 at exit 15 in Issaquah. Just south of the Tower Crane.
