7:30 am at Maple Valley Park and Ride
We'll hike the Ipsut Creek trail to Ipsut Pass, and if conditions are good, we'll continue to the Tolmie Peak lookout. The trailhead is at the end of the Carbon River road in MRNP. To get to the Maple Valley P&R; from the Seattle area: from I-405 in Renton take exit 4 onto Hwy 169 (toward Maple Valley) and drive 11 miles on Hwy 169 to the Maple Valley P&R.; The P&R; will be on your right. If you see a McDonalds on your right you have gone too far. If you live south of Maple Valley, contact the leader to arrange for a more convient meeting place.
