Meet at 10:30 AM at the entrance to the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center, where restrooms are available.  A National Park Pass must be shown or purchased upon entering the park on Mt. Angeles Road, south of Port Angeles.  It is reached from US 101 in Port Angeles by turning left at N. Race St. and continuing south up the hill past where it becomes Mt. Angeles Road to the Park entry booth.  From there it is about a half hour drive continuing up the hill to Hurricane Ridge.

From the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center we will hike 1 mile to Picnic Area B, where we have our trail lunch.  There are restrooms there.  Then we continue two more miles to the top of Hurricane Hill, returning by the same route.  The last 1.6 miles of the trail to the summit are paved and wide.

On the drive home, there will be the option for a group dinner stop, if the covid 19 situation permits it.

This hike is part of the Dungeness Campground Car Camp, involving day hiking on Saturday to the Dungeness Lighthouse, camping Saturday night at Dungeness Campground and hiking on Sunday to Hurricane Hill.  Registration for the car camp is by registering for the two related day hikes.  Anyone registering for one of the day hikes must also register for the other one and participate in the Saturday night encampment at Dungeness Campground.  Compliance is monitored by requiring leader permission for both day hikes.  Complete information about the car camp is on the Tacoma Branch Events Calendar site.  Campsite  fees will be divided equally and collected in cash or check when we meet at the start of Saturday's hike.
