9:00 AM at Preston P&R;, I-90 Exit 22
Great 360 degree views, weather permitting, from a seldom visited peak. After an easy beginning on a gated road, the route climbs steeply up a well defined boot path. The last 1900’ elevation gain takes just over one mile. As the path nears the top, we climb through several short boulder fields. Although short, the steepness and boulder hopping rates it as Strenuous. Trekking poles will be useful on the way down this steep path. Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Preston Park & Ride (North side of I-90, Exit 22). (65 miles roundtrip drive to trailhead.) No registration, members only. Peggy Owen, 425-746-1070.
