Meet at 8 AM at the Enumclaw Ranger Station on Roosevelt Ave.
We will consolidate cars at the Enumclaw Ranger Station and then caravan to the Sunrise Point parking lot via the White River Entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park, where each car pays a $25 entrance fee or shows a Park pass covering up to five people in the car. We will stop at the restrooms at the White River entrance gate, since there are no restrooms at the trailhead or on our hiking route. There will be multiple opportunities during the hike for party separation bathroom breaks. The trail goes up and down multiple times and is rather steep in a few places. So although our destination is at about the same elevation as the trailhead, we gain 1,400 feet on the hike. But the spectacular scenery we will experience is worth the effort that the hike requires. If the weather permits, there will be an opportunity for a swim during our lunch break at Hidden Lake.
