Day Hike - Heybrook Lookout & Ridge

Join me for a short but steep hike to Heybrook Lookout with fabulous view of Mt Index and Bridal Veil Falls on a clear day. This hike will be at a slower pace, think 1.5 mph. You can't reach the top of the lookout unless you have overnight reservations. There is an observation platform 89 steps up just below the lookout. There is no water to filter so be sure to carry enough for the weather/hiking conditions. There is a picnic table at the top where we will stop for a break and lunch at the lookout before heading back down.

I'll be coming from Tacoma and traffic can be bad early in the morning, so I don't want to start too early. We'll meet at the trailhead at 10:30. Prior to the trip, I'll send out an option for those who would like to meet at a coffee shop, probably in Woodinville, and then caravan or carpool together. Parking is right on the side of Highway 2. There are no restrooms at the trailhead. There is a mountain toilet at the lookout. There are no passes required to park.
