We will have an exceptionally low tide (-2.5) about 2:30 in the afternoon, which will make for an exciting trip through the forest, along the beach, and walking the sand bar out to the island.  We should see moon snails and their collars, sand dollars, starfish and other low tide creatures.  Kids should have comfortable hiking boots/shoes for the trail, and other footwear for the beach, so that they have dry comfortable footwear for the hike back.
