Day Hike - Hannegan Pass

We will explore the fascinating geology of this part of the North Cascades along with the natural world. This is a naturalist hike so we will take it slow looking at plants, birds, rocks, and the general area.

  • Strenuous
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 9.2 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,000 ft

We will meet at the Trailhead at 10 AM. Some of us will be staying at Baker Lodge. Make sure to make your reservation for the lodge when it opens on 1 June.

We will try to understand the geology as well as the ecology of this area. The pass is near the edge of an old caldera.
