Carpool will meet at US Forest Service Ranger Station, 450 Roosevelt Ave E, Enumclaw, WA 98022 at 7:00am. I expect riders to compensate their driver at $0.18 mile. For this trip that would be about $10.00 for the 58.2 mile roundtrip from Enumclaw to the Greenwater Lakes Trailhead.
For those who want to meet at the Greenwater Lakes Trailhead, we are aiming to be there about 7:45am.
A couple of the trail bridges are in need of maintenance, so be prepared to negotiate possible water crossings. Hiking poles required. There may be snow on the trail close to Lost Lake. Micro-spikes recommended just in case. I hike at a moderate pace.
Here is a description of the trail from WTA: Greenwater Trail to Lost Lake
If we turn around at a bridge crossing near Greenwater Lakes the hike will be only about 4 miles roundtrip. In this case there will be an optional hike up Mount Peak (Pinnacle Peak - 1.8 miles, 1000ft gain) near Enumclaw for those wanting to fill out the day. Mount Peak (Pinnacle Peak)
