Meet at 10 AM at Wapiti Outdoors in Greenwater, where there are two portapotties by the parking lot and breakfast food is available at their snack bar accessed from the back deck.
From Wapiti Outdoors, we will caravan to the trailhead parking lot, involving turning right onto SR 410, left on FR 70 and right into the Greenwater Lakes trailhead parking lot, where there are two restrooms. A Northwest Forest Pass or National Park Pass must be displayed by each car parked there.
The hike in to our lunch spot along the Greenwater River is 2.5 miles and crosses four footbridges enroute, which make nice picture spots. After lunch we will return by the same route.
On the drive home there is the option for a refreshment stop at Wapiti Outdoors, which is noted for their huckleberry ice cream and has outdoor seating.
