Day Hike - Granite Mountain
After-hours Conditioning hike particularly for scramble, climbing, glacier travel students. This strenuous hike is 8 miles and 3800 ft gain. A summit time of 2.5 hours is the goal.

Granite Mt. Trailhead 5:00pm Thursday evening. Take I-90 to exit 47, turn left and the end of the ramp. Turn left again on road 9034 to the trailhead. I drive a Red Toyota Corolla.
This is designed to be a conditioning hike for scramble/climbers but others may join. The pace will be moderately fast, ideally 30-45 minutes per 1000 feet gain/1 miles, or reaching summit in 2.5 hours.
