Day Hike - Granite Lakes via Granite Creek

Giving a once remote hikers paradise more access, a new trailhead was finalized last summer. This strenuous after work hike aims to reach Granite Lakes and give a glimpse of why the Granite Creek Valley is worthy of revisiting.

  • Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 8.4 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,810 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 3,330 ft
  • Pace: 2.0 mph

Carpool from Preston Park & Ride @ 4:00 PM.
Notes for carpooling:
1. A reasonable driver tip is $5.
2. We will wait up to 10 minutes.

Meeting at the Granite Creek Trailhead Parking Area @ 4:45 PM.
Notes for meeting at the trailhead:
1. A Discover Pass is required.
2. Hiking with start after a quick discussion on the trail, safety, and introductions.

Our plan is to finish before dusk (9:48 PM), so we will turn around at 7:30 PM.
The objective is Granite Lakes with enough time for photos and a snack at the lake, but we will choose another spot if the lakes cannot be reached in time.

Once sign-up closes, I will email everyone registered with further trip details.
