This is a hike for those who wish to continue building your conditioning upon completion of the GoHike course.

If there are any unfilled spots on this hike, the hike will open up on the Wednesday before the week of the hike to general members, with leaders permission, for Mountaineers members interested in a beginning hiking experience.

It is important that participants look at the stated hike description, distance, pace, elevation gain and consider your current fitness level in determining if this hike is a good fit for you. If you have any questions, please contact the trip leader in advance of requesting Leaders Permission. When you request Leaders Permission to Register, a leader may look at your profile and recent activities to ensure that they think you are ready for their hike. They may email or call you to ask you about your hiking history and conditioning activities. Individuals who register with out requesting and receiving Leaders Permission will be cancelled.

Our trail follows the Rattlesnake Mountain Trail southeast from Snoqualmie Point to Grand Prospect and back along a mix of new and old growth forest with some open spaces on a clearly marked well maintained trail with great views on a clear day.

This  is a moderate/strenuous hike that will be led at a moderate pace, averaging 1.5 - 2 mph. If you have any concerns about your ability to cope with the distance, elevation gain and pace, please contact the leader.

Full trip details will be sent to all who register soon after registration closes at 5 pm on December 15th. In the interim, please direct questions to the trip leader Elizabeth Nakashima at enakashima@comcast.net
