Goat Lake (Monte Cristo)

Day Hike - Goat Lake (Monte Cristo)

A lovely trail rain or shine! We'll pass through deep forest, along a rushing river, to a sparkling alpine lake with mountain views reflected on a clear day.

  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,280 ft
  • Pace: 2.5 mph

This event was rescheduled due to heavy rain with preference given to previous attendees.

Please be at the trailhead ready to hike at 9:30a.

We'll keep a steady 2.5 mph pace so be at the lake for lunch.

If we have a sunny lovely day, we will relax, enjoy the view and wander a bit further to the waterfall. Safety and fun come first, but I expect to be back at the trailhead mid to late afternoon.

Trail details, directions and trip reports can be found at https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/goat-lake.

Vaccinated hikers only please. Please be prepared to share recent experience with this distance and slightly faster pace.
