Day Hike - Goat Lake (Monte Cristo)

This is a popular trail to a pretty subalpine lake. We will take the lower trail which follows the creek and may decide as a group to make it a loop and come down on the upper trail (an old road). We'll have a (socially distant!) lunch stop at the lake.

  • Mileage: 10.5 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,500 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 3,161 ft
  • Pace: moderate (2.25 mph)

Meeting Place:  Boots on and ready to go at the trail head  at 8:45 (note that this means quite an early start from Seattle!).  The road in is reported to have significant potholes, so plan on leaving plenty of time to drive slowly and carefully.
